Homework project!

Year 6

During your time at home, we would like you to create a project on ‘THE DECADES’! You will need to focus on the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Your WWII projects in the Autumn term were absolutely fantastic and we would love to see what you come up with for this topic!

Possible focus could be:

• Inventions through the decades
• Music and Art through the decades (why not try some digital work/painting/drawing/sketching to go along with this)
• A project on all the ‘Civil Rights heroes’
• Medical advancements through the decades
• ‘Advancement in Technology’ through the decades
• The Space race – moon landings, the space race, NASA, disasters, triumphs…etc
• Politics – JFK being assassinated, ‘The Miner’s strike in Britain’
• Education – how has it changed?

OR – combine all of the above into…

Advice for home learning: –

Don’t forget to read regularly – a range of Fiction and non-fiction books.

Practice your times tables ALL THE TIME!!! Go on ‘BBC Bitesize’ – complete the Maths activities.

Go on HWB – lots of activities to work through.

Access ‘TWINKL’ (code on website – Year 6 page) and work through activities.

Use your Nelson spelling books that we sent home – learn those patterns, complete the activities.

Write, write, write!!! Create your own story book…write a poem…keep a diary…write a recipe…create a fact file.

The possibilities are endless Year 6!!!
