General Concerns
I think my child / young person has an Additional Learning Need, who do I speak to?
Speak to your child's class teacher to outline your main concerns. The class teacher is best placed to address your concerns in the first instance.
If you still have concerns, you should ask to speak to the school / college Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo), who will be able to assist you further.
The headteacher will also be able to support you, if you feel that you need additional support having raised your concerns.
If you have spoken to the above, and still feel like you have an issue, then you need to follow the complaints process for the school and contact the chair of governors.
At any point during the process, you are able to contact the ALN Caseworker team. They offer advice and support to children / young people and their families. Contact them via email at caseworker@swansea.gov.uk.
