Safety Squad
Safety Squad 24 - 25
Meet our Safety Squad members.
Why do we have a Safety Squad?
The Safety Squad is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get more involved in the way the school is run. The Safety Squad benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers, because it provides opportunities for pupils to be involved in improving the environment and keeping all members of the school community safe.
Safety Squad develops skills such as responsibility, caring for others and the action planning. It is the responsibility of each Safety Squad member to ensure that they take care of their environment, are good role models to others and report any health and safety issues that they see.
Who can be a member of the Safety Squad?
We have an active Safety Squad with pupils from Year 6 working daily to improve the school grounds. It is a voluntary position so all pupils wanting to participate are welcome.
What do we do?
Members of the Safety Squad carry out a range of duties across the school. These duties include daily litter picks, sweeping and weeding and carrying out monthly safety checks across the schools grounds. They then feedback their findings to Mr Davies so that he can prioritise actions that are needed.
