Behaviour Support Team
The Behaviour Support Team offers advice to schools / colleges across Swansea working with children / young people with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties.
The team is made up of Specialist Behaviour Support Teachers (BST) and a Support Assistant. They provide school staff with practical support for pupils demonstrating social, emotional or behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
How will they support my child / young person?
Behaviour Support Teachers, where needed, work directly with groups or individual children / young people.
They also deliver training for school / college staff to help meet the needs of pupils with additional learning needs or social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
How does my child / young person access the team?
You will need to speak to your child / young person's class teacher or Additional Learning Needs Coordinator (ALNCo). They will be able to listen to your concerns and work out next steps.
