Reading

  • Please encourage your child to read regularly at home, bedtime stories, trips to the library, songs/rhymes and the C.A.P.E.R books and reading records provided by school are a good place to start.  Reading with children in their early years is crucial because it builds a foundation for their language acquisition, cognitive development and literacy skills.  Reading enhances vocabulary, comprehension, and concentration while also fostering imagination, empathy and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Please write in their reading record, regular communication between school and home will help them to make good progress with their reading skills. Please can books be returned by Monday. The children will have the opportunity to change their books on a Tuesday.

P.E.

  • Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to school on Tuesday.

Forest School - We will be completing our forest school sessions on a Monday until October half term.
