School Day/ Opening Times

Due to Covid 19 the normal school day has been altered to ensure the safety of all.

Staggered Start/Finish Times

There will be staggered start/finish times that do not differ too much from our normal times but will ease the congestion at the start and end of the day.

It is important that everyone adheres to these times as your child’s class teacher will be at the door to welcome them at the allocated times and parents will not be permitted to enter the building. Early collections will not be possible via the school office without prior arrangement and can only be agreed for a valid reason, evidence of medical appointment etc will be needed for this otherwise the allocated collection times must be strictly adhered to.

Parental Responsibility

One parent/carer will be allowed with their child on drop off and collection. Your child will need to be taken safely, following the 2 metre social distancing rules, to the designated drop off / collection point. Staff will be waiting to meet you and your children at their designated gates upon arrival. Staff members will also be on duty to assist and support. It is vitally important that during these busy times everyone respects the 2 meter distancing rules.

Should you require to speak to a member of staff regarding any issues then we would encourage you do so via email. Should you need to speak to myself or the school admin team, we kindly ask that you do so via email in the first instance.

It will be the parent’s responsibility to keep their child safe and following the new rules to ensure everyone is kept safe whilst checking in. Every one of us has a role to play in keeping our children, staff and community safe.

Older pupils will be unable to come in and go by themselves for the time being. We will also not allow any bicycles to be kept on the school site during the school day for the time being. We are asking you all to play a huge part in the safety of your child and the school community. Once you have dropped off your child, parents will then be asked to make their way out of school, responsibly. Please note that staff will be on hand to supervise and support where necessary. Please also respect the 2 metre social distancing rules with our staff.

As your child enters the building, they will be asked to use the hand sanitiser station, which is located on each of the entries/exits throughout the school. This is to limit any possible spread of a virus. A staggered pick up time has been established that mirrors the drop off system. Please ensure that you adhere to the time slot given. A child should not be brought to school outside of the allocated time slot given. This is to reduce the other pupils and staff in class from waiting, and limit the possible spread of the virus onto a different group of children.
