Spring Term
This term our theme is Bones, Blood and Gory Bits. The children have learnt about the heart and have also practised finding and measuring their pulse rates. They are now investigating how exercise affects the pulse rate.
Physical Exercise: Since the start of term, year five children have been swimming every Tuesday morning. This is such an important life skill and we are very lucky to be able to take pupils from Y3 upwards. We aim to get every child able to swim by the time they leave our school. For those children who are still learning then the pool offer lessons through the holidays. Please ask at the pool for more details. We are also very lucky to have rugby skills sessions each week. These normally take place outside but as this is Wales, we do have some lessons in our large gym. Hopefully we will see some of our children playing for Wales one day.
