  Year 2 - Year 2 children hold their PE session on a Monday. As we are doing gymnastics this term for Health & Safety reasons please ensure your child brings in a PE kit clearly labelled with their name on including trainers or gym shoes. PE kits are to stay in school for the half term.

• Attendance

   Attendance:     It is a legal requirement for your child to attend school every day. If your child is unwell you will need to telephone the school or send a message via the Parentmail App before 9.30am on the first day of absence, should your child still be unwell then you will need to telephone the school again with an update on the third day of absence. As a school we monitor all pupils’ attendance on a daily basis. If your child’s attendance falls below 90% you may receive a letter from the school. If your child has a medical or dental appointment then a letter will need to be shown at the office.

   Year 4 – Mr Jones:   For our Design and Technology learning this half term we will be designing and making a money container. Please can you bring in any money containers you may have at home. These may include: purses, wallets, money box and travel money belt. These will stay in school for at least a week so please can they be clearly labelled with your child's name on them.

  School crossing patrol:   We have been notified by the local authority that the School Crossing Patrol located on Bolgoed Road junction Nantyffin is away from her post due to unexpected illness. 

• Individual Photos

  Individual photos: 

  Colorfoto will be in school on Thursday 16th January to photograph all of our pupils, your child will be bringing home a consent form for you to sign. Please ensure that this is returned to school ASAP as we will not photograph any pupils who do not have a signed form.

• School Dinner Money

  School Dinner Money: 

  A school meal costs £2.40 per day, this is payable in advance via sQuid. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your child’s account to enable them to order a meal during morning registration.
